Update for members on the recent EHRC trans guidance

On 21 May 2026 the EHRC released an updated draft code of practice for service providers. The draft has been laid before parliament who have 40 days to review the code. Once implemented the code will hold legal status as a statutory code of practice. Our updated members guidance helps our members navigate this complex area for service users. The updated EHRC code does not, and should not, stop organisations from being inclusive for all. It is, however, a reminder to be thoughtful, compassionate and consistent in how we all uphold inclusion and protect everyone’s dignity.

    Non-binary identities factsheet

This factsheet is designed to help organisations better understand the experiences of non-binary individuals in the workplace, increase awareness, and offer support and guidance for employers.
