    Diwali Factsheet

According to the census of England and Wales, 816,633 residents (1.5%) identify as Hindus, 423,158 identify as Sikh and 20,000 identify as Jain.   On November 14 many of these residents will be celebrating an ancient festival called Diwali (or Deepali), so it's important for inclusive organisations to consider what adjustments they made need to make for employees who will be participating.  We have developed a factsheet that explains in depth what Diwali is and considerations employers may need to make.
