Diwali 2020 Factsheet
According to the census of England and Wales, 816,633 residents (1.5%) identify as Hindus, 423,158 identify as Sikh and 20,000 identify as Jain. On November 14 many of these residents will be celebrating an ancient festival called Diwali (or Deepali), so it's important for inclusive organisations to consider what adjustments they made need to make for employees who will be participating. Rosh Hashanah Facts
Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year, which means ‘head of the year’. The biblical name for the holiday is Yom Teruah. It marks the beginning of the Jewish year and is one of the holiest days of the Jewish faith. It is the anniversary of the creation of Adam and Eve, and their first actions for the creation of the world.
