This year’s theme for National Inclusion Week is “Take Action and Make an Impact”. Daily actions throughout the week help structure activities and events within your organisation. Each day of NIW23, the daily action will focus on one of the Six Pillars of Inclusion.
Correla, a 2023 National Inclusion Week sponsor, discusses their rationale for participating and provides insights on how they plan to participate and celebrate #NationalInclusionWeek2023.
Why is making an impact on inclusion so important to Correla?
It’s important to Correla because we are serious about moving beyond intent, into making impactful changes that make a difference to our people, business and customers.
It’s important to educate and raise awareness, but Correla also want its people to share their own lived experiences. This is why we run dedicated sessions as a platform for thought provoking conversations, and to receive feedback from the team – all which is vital if we want to shift the dial and make a difference.
It’s about moving from “I really want to make a change” to “I have made a change and seen the impact it has made.”
The importance of having a National Inclusion Week 2023 Champion or project lead
Correla’s Strategic People Partner, Louise Lee leads and drives our National Inclusion Week initiatives across the organisation. Louise shares her advice:
“Naturally a lot of organisations now have someone appointed that leads on I&D but it could equally be your ERGs, a member of your leadership team, someone from HR who is responsible for Engagement for example. However, the important thing to remember is that whilst there maybe one person leading, you do need a team of others to support you in delivering!”

National Inclusion Week Daily Actions
There are several daily actions we are planning to do! These include:
- Webinar sessions with Inclusive Employers

- Dedicated blog posts – Correla has an initiative called #mywholeself which are personal stories shared by our own people about an aspect of their diversity
- Data and Insight posts
- Social Media posts
- Commitment Boards

How are you recording and measuring your impact for National Inclusion Week?
We then invite everybody to share feedback for us via an Engagement survey, and we track measurement indicators such as attendance and participation of the events to determine if we are making more of an impact compared to previous years. After there has been an increase of awareness, we then explore how this new awareness is making a difference across the business to our people and our customers.
