    In 2010 the Equality Act came into place in the UK ensuring everyone is protected from discrimination and harassment. This extends to customers using your services and is especially important if you are welcoming visitors from around the world. This webinar will help you to better understand your legal obligations under the Equality Act as well as help your navigate potential challenges when trying to create an inclusive welcome for all customers.

    Thinking about Accessibility for an Inclusive Experience 

    Around 15% of the world’s population consider themselves disabled and yet how well-equipped are our services in supporting disabled customers? In the UK, 1 in 5 people have a disability, up to 80% of which have are non-visible. Around 14 million people in the UK live with some form of disability, so the likelihood is that you know at least one person living with a non-visible disability, whether you are aware or not. This webinar will focus on how we can support customers with visible and non-visible disabilities and ensure our services are equipped to meet the needs of everyone using them.

    In partnership with Liverpool City Council, we are delighted to host this webinar for businesses in Liverpool to support them during the Eurovision Song Contest 2023. This webinar is also open to all of our member organisations, free of charge.  

    Whilst progress has been made over the past few decades, LGBTQ+ individuals still face discrimination and harassment across the UK and globally. Many businesses are keen to support the LGBTQ+ community but lack the basic skills to understand how to get LGBTQ+ inclusion right. This webinar will introduce you to the basics of LGBTQ+ inclusion in the workplace and in customer service to ensure you are offering an inclusive welcome to LGBTQ+ customers every time.

This webinar will introduce you to the importance of intercultural communication and more importantly, it will give you the basic skills to communicate effectively and inclusively with customers from a diverse mix of backgrounds.
