Equality Law and Customer Service

Webinar overview
In partnership with Liverpool City Council, we are delighted to host this webinar for businesses in Liverpool to support them during the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.
This webinar is also open to all of our member organisations, free of charge.
In 2010 the Equality Act came into place in the UK ensuring everyone is protected from discrimination and harassment. This extends to customers using your services and is especially important if you are welcoming visitors from around the world. This webinar will help you to better understand your legal obligations under the Equality Act as well as help you navigate potential challenges when trying to create an inclusive welcome for all customers.
This webinar is hosted by Katy Aylward, I&D expert from Inclusive Employers.
Katy joined the Inclusive Employers team at the start of 2023 as an Inclusion and Diversity Consultant. Her route into inclusion and diversity started at university where she joined her department’s Equality and Diversity Committee to represent students’ voices and drive for change, supporting applications for the Athena Swan Award. After graduation she joined a tech start-up and set up an Inclusion & Diversity Committee there to continue championing underrepresented groups and ensure that as the company developed inclusion was considered at the core.
