National Inclusion Week® 2026
Break Barriers. Navigate Change.
In a changing world, inclusion requires action.
National Inclusion Week® returns from 14th to 20th September 2026.
Over 1,800 organisations registered to take part in National Inclusion Week® 2025, coming together to celebrate inclusion and drive meaningful action across their workplaces.
As we look ahead to 2026, this year’s theme, “Break Barriers. Navigate Change”, recognises the reality many organisations are facing right now.
Expectations are shifting. Budgets are tighter. Inclusion work is facing increasing scrutiny, whilst HR, people and inclusion teams continue trying to create meaningful progress and do the right thing.
Founded by Inclusive Employers in 2013, National Inclusion Week® (NIW) is a yearly event dedicated to celebrating inclusion and taking action to build inclusive workplaces.
National Inclusion Week® offers organisations an opportunity to spark conversations, inspire thinking and drive meaningful action around inclusion across the workplace.
What makes National Inclusion Week® unique is that it involves everyone. It creates space to discuss intersectional issues and engage all communities across gender, race, religion, LGBTQ+, disability, carers and social mobility.
Whether organisations are just starting their inclusion journey or building on existing progress, National Inclusion Week® helps turn intention into action.
Inclusion isn’t straightforward right now.
Many organisations are navigating changing expectations, economic pressure and increasing scrutiny whilst continuing to build workplaces where people feel valued, supported and able to thrive.
This year’s theme reflects that reality.
Break Barriers. Navigate Change. is about recognising that inclusion requires more than intention alone. It requires ongoing action, accountability and a willingness to keep moving forward, even during periods of uncertainty and change.
We’ll also be hosting a free launch webinar exploring this year’s theme in more depth, and discussing how organisations can continue creating meaningful inclusion impact during periods of change and uncertainty. Register now.
