  • Empower – Kickstarting inclusion through role models

This is the first of several panel events that we’re hosting to help guide and inspire you on your inclusion journey and is perfect for all organisations, no matter which stage you’re at. Each event will focus on one of Inclusive Employers’ six pillars of inclusion – Engage, Equip, Empower, Embed, Evaluate and Evolve. The pillars give the accreditation the framework to measure inclusion success.

You will have the opportunity to hear and also share best practice, engage with other organisations and learn more about our Inclusive Employers Standard.

  • Global Inclusion Strategies

This session will explore the inclusion challenges and opportunities faced by global organisations. Employees can be separated by thousands of miles and spread across several time zones, which in itself is tricky, but to grow inclusion across cultural and legal differences presents particular challenges.

The risks of getting it wrong can be enough to make employers give up on a global Inclusion and Diversity agenda but the benefits are substantial if you are able to flex your approach.  What works in your home country isn’t necessarily going to work globally, and we will be exploring what you can do to navigate a global environment with respect and sensitivity.

Pride Month: Exploring global LGBTQ+ experiences

Observed in many countries around the world during the month of June, Pride Month celebrates the resilience, diversity, and contributions of the LGBTQ+ community worldwide. Despite much progress, when it comes to LGBTQ+ inclusion, the world is still a much-divided place: violence against the community is still a reality for many, at least 67 countries still criminalise same-sex consensual activity.

Join us for an enlightening panel discussion, where we will hear from diverse voices from the LGBTQ+ community and leaders in this space.

  • Living, and Working With Long COVID

Long covid is an illness which is still being studied and currently has no internationally-agreed definition. The symptoms are varied and can be debilitating, even for young, fit people, or those who did not go to hospital when they had COVID-19 symptoms initially.

In this webinar we will be exploring what is meant by long covid and identify practical ways organisations can support colleagues who have long covid.

  • Neurodivergent Contributions to the Workplace

It is estimated that in the UK around 1 in 7 people are neurodivergent, and globally around 15-10% of people are neurodivergent. This Disability Pride month, we aim to take a strengths-based approach to explore the positive impact that neurodivergent people have in the workplace, whilst recognising the responsibility on organisations of creating an environment where people can thrive.

  • Influencing Skills & Storytelling for Inclusion

Inclusion is not impactful if it’s done by one person. It’s a collaborative effort, one that needs everyone in your organisation to understand the part they play in it. But getting there can be challenging. That’s where influencing comes in. It’s a skill that used well, can transform your inclusion work. This 1-hour webinar is a taster session of our CMI Accredited course in Influencing and Storytelling for Inclusion. It will give you an sneak peek into the course content, the style of our training and a technique to add to your influencing toolkit.

Supporting hidden carers at work and home

This year during Carers Week we are helping to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities. It’s also an opportunity to shine a light on what caring is to help people who don’t think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as careers and access the resources available to them.

Carers support friends and family with a disability, mental or physical illness, addiction, or who need extra support as they grow older. The challenges for these individuals are often overlooked in the workplace, but we know that caring can have a huge impact on a person’s working and personal life.

Carers develop a whole range of skills that are an asset to any organisation, and we should focus on how we can support, retain and uplift carers in the workplace.
