Strategic Approaches to Inclusion – how our Level 7 CMI qualification can help you land the right approaches for your organisation

The case for organisations to get Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) right is beyond doubt. Better performance, higher engagement, cutting-edge innovation, lower risks, access to new markets… and so on.

Potential clients want to know how diverse your organisation is and how you ensure inclusion. Potential employees are looking you up on Glassdoor and Indeed to determine if your culture is inclusive.

Getting Inclusion & Diversity right is fast becoming a differentiating factor across the board.

But getting it right requires a holistic approach and leaders who understand how to identify and land the right strategic EDI approaches for their organisation, market and sector.

Our new Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Level 7 Award in Strategic Approaches to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion supports organisational decision-makers with an in-depth understanding of how to approach Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at a strategic level.

What’s included in the CMI Level 7 course?

Over three days, leaders work with us to understand structural inequality and explore the challenges and routes to breaking down barriers. This includes personal reflection and exploration of leadership styles and cultural components needed to support equality.

We consider the influence of legislation and social expectations on how organisations approach equality and how to gather and appraise key data points to inform the right strategic approaches for the organisation going forward.

Practical case studies based on Inclusive Employers’ 450-plus member organisations are explored to identify best practices and develop a broader understanding.

Change leadership is a key aspect. Through their personal project, leaders will develop strategies to land EDI priorities into their organisational culture effectively.

Who will benefit?

Organisational decision makers and those responsible for EDI in their organisation.

Those who want to review their organisation’s EDI approach and create and land strategic approaches with real impact.

“There’s a big difference between the experience of being in a training session delivered by a trainer and these sessions.

The people leading them… have got real-life experiences to share. They’ve lived and breathed it.”
