Inclusive Sport: Trans Inclusion in sport and physical activity

Trans inclusion is currently one of the most hotly debated topics in sport and physical activity.  This session will cover the basics around terminology, some of the misconceptions around trans inclusion in sport and physical activity, the barriers transgender people face and some practical solutions.

This webinar is a safe, inclusive space to find out more about this topic.  It will help you create the conditions that enable trans people to experience the profound benefits of sport, working both with trans communities and other providers to remove the barriers to inclusion.

    Trans Allyship

When you become an ally of transgender people, your actions will help change the culture, making society a better, safer place for transgender people – and for all people (trans or not) who do not conform to conventional gender expectations. This webinar aims to highlight the ways in which we can be allies to our trans colleagues and make the workplace a safe space for trans people to be able to work and express themselves freely.

  • Transgender Day of Remembrance

Transgender Day Of Remembrance is an annual event on the 20th of November which honours the memory of the trans people whose lives were lost in acts of transphobic violence during the previous 12 months. Every year vigils and ceremonies are held across the world to remember those we have lost and to raise awareness of the violence trans people face while simply trying to live their lives. We will be running this webinar to highlight the transphobia the community is experiencing today, to demonstrate how to be trans inclusive in your organisation and how to ally your trans colleagues so that they can feel safe and comfortable in their working environment.

  • International Men’s Day

International Men’s Day occurs annually on the 19th of November and is dedicated to highlighting the contributions of men and boys in their communities, but also raising awareness of issues faced by men physically and mentally in society, and how men can be positive agents of change for all by role modelling and demonstrating allyship. Join us for a webinar where we will discuss the impacts of stereotypes and societal expectations on men’s health, both mental and physical, the intersectionality of men’s identities and how men can actively engage in allyship and show the younger generation how to empower themselves and others to create more safe and inclusive environments.

  • Understanding the Impacts of Menopause

This session will explore why supporting menopause in the workplace is business critical rather than a nice to have well-being initiative.  Join us for an interactive webinar designed to encourage discussion, collaboration and promote a positive, inclusive culture where it’s ok to talk about menopause.

  • Eliminating the Pay Gap

Pay gaps are indicators of embedded and systemic diversity and inclusion problems within organisations and many employers are now taking significant steps to identify and address the causes of the gaps.

Some are motivated to act by the requirements for transparency (in relation to gender), but others see pay gap data as an important inclusion indicator that must be tackled if they are to achieve an inclusive and diverse workplace.

  • International Women’s Day: Exploring the opportunities and challenges of progress within traditional gender roles post COVID

Traditional gender roles in western society have been changing over the last 100 years. There are times when great strides have been made, and others where progress feels like a slow evolution. There are also times progress has been eroded. In this session we will explore the changing gender roles and look specifically at the impact of COVID. We will discuss the challenges, the opportunities and give practical advice for employers on how to use this period as one of growth and transformation for gendered roles at work and in society.
