  • Inclusive Sport: Disability and Para sport

The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games showcased a record number of para sports with a total of 8 para sports in the programme.  However, this increasing spotlight on para sport isn’t necessarily leading to increased participation across the board.

Recent Activity Alliance research suggests that less than one in five non-disabled people have experience of taking part in sport and less than half disabled and non-disabled people actually know someone else with a disability.  The need for solutions and action is pressing. It is clear that organisations need to both raise the profile of and opportunities for disabled people to engage in sport and physical activity, from participation and performance sport to coaching, employment and board roles.

  • ADHD in the Workplace

ADHD as a neurotype is vastly misunderstood in mainstream society. It has many negative connotations associated with it ranging from it not being considered ‘a real condition/neurodivergence’ to the stereotype that it’s only about hyperactivity and distraction.
This ADHD Awareness Month we’d like to highlight not only what ADHD actually is and the challenges ADHD people face, but the benefits that ADHD can bring and how to support someone with ADHD in the workplace to create the best working environment.

In this webinar we will learn what dyslexia is and how we can foster more inclusive environments as employers and colleagues to support changes to our systems, processes, and everyday behaviours to help everyone thrive in the workplace.
