Inclusive Sport: Unfiltered – a panel discussion with Black professionals from across the sport and physical activity sector
Inclusive Sport: Unfiltered – a panel discussion with Black professionals from across the sport and physical activity sector
Black people are often exposed to the double burden of both experiencing racism and being expected to take a role in fixing it.
This unfiltered panel discussion will provide you with insight into:
The lived experience of Black colleagues working within sport and physical activity.
The pressure that many Black colleagues feel during Black History Month and how to prevent burnout.
What meaningful action can and should look like.
How to avoid using Black History Month to virtue signal and instead ensure that your anti-racism work continues throughout the year as a core part of your organisational DNA.

Challenging Islamophobia
Challenging Islamophobia
Islamophobia is prevalent in the UK today. It can come in the form of microaggressions to hate crimes, including stereotyping, bullying, verbal comments, discrimination, barriers to employment, inaccessible policies, harmful media portrayal, physical violence and in many other ways. This November, Islamophobia Awareness Month, we’d like to highlight and raise awareness of what our Muslim colleagues are facing on a daily basis and how to empathise, support and ally them so that we can create an inclusive workplace for all.

This webinar explores how social background impacts the availability of opportunities and the intersectionality of class, social background, education, race and gender.

International Men’s Day
International Men’s Day
International Men’s Day occurs annually on the 19th of November and is dedicated to highlighting the contributions of men and boys in their communities, but also raising awareness of issues faced by men physically and mentally in society, and how men can be positive agents of change for all by role modelling and demonstrating allyship. Join us for a webinar where we will discuss the impacts of stereotypes and societal expectations on men’s health, both mental and physical, the intersectionality of men’s identities and how men can actively engage in allyship and show the younger generation how to empower themselves and others to create more safe and inclusive environments.

Inclusive Sport: The role of inclusion allies in sport and physical activity
Inclusive Sport: The role of inclusion allies in sport and physical activity
Sports has the power to bring people together as well as bring out our best, but we know that unfair treatment including homophobia, transphobia, sexism and racism remain a significant problem in sport and physical activity.
The only way we will successfully address long held beliefs, systemic barriers and the impact of discrimination and harassment is through the commitment and action of everyone. The concept of allyship is about everyone playing their part in identifying, speaking up and taking action to address inequalities, from the more overt examples through to the more subtle.
