    Islamophobia is prevalent in the UK today. It can come in the form of microaggressions to hate crimes, including stereotyping, bullying, verbal comments, discrimination, barriers to employment, inaccessible policies, harmful media portrayal, physical violence and in many other ways. This November, Islamophobia Awareness Month, we’d like to highlight and raise awareness of what our Muslim colleagues are facing on a daily basis and how to empathise, support and ally them so that we can create an inclusive workplace for all.

  • Black Inclusion Week: Allyship – Together for a Better Tomorrow

    Black inclusion Week is an annual event which aims to celebrate and highlight the importance of Black inclusion and uplift Black voices. This year it is taking place from 9th to 15th of May 2022 with the theme ‘Together for a Better Tomorrow’.

    Inclusive Employers are collaborating with the creators of Black Inclusion Week to bring you a panel discussion on the topic of Allyship. A speaker from the Black Inclusion Week team will join a couple of Inclusive Employers consultants and guest speakers to discuss allyship – what allyship means and what it looks like, as well as what does ‘together for a better tomorrow’ mean to you.

    Racial identities can be complex and varied. People who are from bi-racial/mixed/multi ethnic backgrounds have a unique situation of straddling between two or more racial identities which can be challenging, and depending on the context, can cause a crisis of identity. This webinar aims to highlight the experience of those with more than one racial identity and the nuanced challenges which can be faced.
