Transgender Day Of Remembrance is an annual event on the 20th of November which honours the memory of the trans people whose lives were lost in acts of transphobic violence during the previous 12 months. Every year vigils and ceremonies are held across the world to remember those we have lost and to raise awareness of the violence trans people face while simply trying to live their lives. We will be running this webinar to highlight the transphobia the community is experiencing today, to demonstrate how to be trans inclusive in your organisation and how to ally your trans colleagues so that they can feel safe and comfortable in their working environment.

Although people who identify as Bisexual make up a large part of the LGBTQ+ community, they are often subject to Biphobia and Bi-erasure and therefore overlooked when discussing LGBTQ+ issues, contributions and successes. This webinar will aim to shed some light on this part of the community with specific reference to the history of bisexuality and the challenges faced previously, and still, in the current climate.

The intersection of faith and the LGBTQ+ community can be a sensitive area. When you become an ally of transgender people, your actions will help change the culture, making society a better, safer place for transgender people – and for all people (trans or not) who do not conform to conventional gender expectations. This webinar aims to highlight the ways in which we can be allies to our trans colleagues and make the workplace a safe space for trans people to be able to work and express themselves freely.

The theme for LGBT+ History Month 2022 is ‘Politics in Art: The Arc is Long’. It aims to celebrate the long list of contributions of LGBTQ+ artists and activists and their achievements in shining a light on LGBTQ+ and other struggles, communicating the pain, beauty and significance in the fight for equality.
