1) Can you tell us how you came to be in your role?

When I was looking for a new role, I was searching for a company that was driven by its values and purpose. Whilst I have experienced great company cultures in my career to date, I have not worked for a company whose purpose is centred on inclusion and growth. I also love the challenge and excitement that comes with Private Equity investment, so when the opportunity to work for Inclusive Employers came about, it was a match made in heaven!

2) Can you share an ‘Inclusive moment’ with us – a time when you felt included either at work or in your personal life?

When I worked at Arqiva (who are one of our members) in my earlier career, I applied and interviewed for a promotion whilst 38 weeks pregnant with my first child. They were incredibly supportive and I got the promotion, even though they knew that this would be more disruptive to them. The promotion was one of my career defining moments, and would not have been possible had the company not been so inclusive.

3) What do you love most about your role?

We are on a very exciting journey at Inclusive Employers; investing in our people, processes, systems and service delivery, to name but a few. I am very lucky that in my role as CFO I get to lead and support on this transformation journey, it is a varied and fulfilling role and I cannot wait to see what we achieve together.

4) What is a typical day like for you?

Whilst you may expect a typical day for me is in front of excel adding up numbers, it far from it. Every day is different, I could be looking at new system implementations one moment, to dealing with HR, legal and compliance, to analysing data and considering business strategy. Let’s just say I am kept on my toes!

5) What’s been you most memorable moment in your inclusion career?

My inclusion career is very new, being only a few months in. Every moment has been memorable so far, but more specifically, I would say how welcoming everyone in the company has been since I joined, and how passionate everyone is about the work they do.
