What does a culture review with Inclusive Employers look like?

Understanding the challenges and aspirations of your company culture

Before our detailed work can begin, it’s important that our experts understand your motivations for going through a culture review. During an initial scoping phase, we will work with you to understand what you are hoping to achieve with this culture review and create deliverables as well as timelines for it.

Prioritise data gathering

Understanding what your company culture currently looks like is the most important step you can take towards changing it.

That’s why we prioritise data gathering at Inclusive Employers. We take an in-depth look into your company culture, so that we can understand it in as much detail as possible.

This data gathering phase includes a combination of methods:

During this process we collate our own data by reviewing your relevant policies, guidance, and strategies. This helps us to identify areas where improvements need to be made.

Review existing diversity data

We will review all existing data that you have so we can really understand how inclusive and diverse your company culture is. This may include employee profiles, employee lifecycle, board composition and any employee relations cases.

Having this information helps us to understand current levels of employee engagement and inclusion. If you do not hold current data on this, we will design a survey so that we can gather data for key audiences and inclusion themes.

Focus groups and interviews

By conducting focus groups and interviews with key stakeholders and employees we can develop a thorough understanding what your company culture feels like for them.

This invaluable process means we can understand employee perspectives, challenges and aspirations and how they align with the objectives of the culture review and the organisation.

Taking action to progress your company culture

The final stages of a culture review with Inclusive Employers are co-creation workshops and creating your strategy with a clear, sustainable action plan to support it.

During this process, we review the recommendations from the data-gathering phase with key stakeholders, including Senior Leaders. The aim of this is to prioritise them and create actionable SMART targets that relate to each priority.

Involving key stakeholders in this process gives them a sense of ownership and responsibility for the final strategy and actions. It also helps them understand the objectives of the project, strengthening their relationship to it and ultimately their commitment and contribution to improving the company culture.
