What do you enjoy about your role at Inclusive Employers?

I enjoy being able to work with a wide range of members from across a variety of sectors. It’s interesting to see the common challenges that they all have and help them to begin to tackle them.

Working in a team with such a variety of lived and professional experience is really inspiring and I learn something new from the team every day.

What has been your biggest achievement to date?

One of my most fond memories is from my time working at Girlguiding. I worked in collaboration with the Royal Opera House to provide 3000 young people with the opportunity to watch a ballet for free for the first time. The young people travelled from across the UK for the experience and through some fantastic collaborative work we were able to ensure that all access and learning needs were supported so that no one was excluded from the opportunity, and everyone could enjoy the magic of the ballet performance.

I used to keep a print out of the feedback from the girls and leaders on my desk as a reminder of the impact we could achieve.

What is the best advice you have ever been given?

There is no need to continue doing things that are not helping you to achieve your goals or that are no longer giving you joy.

Tell us something about you that we might not know

I once beat an ex-prime minister at table tennis.
