What do you enjoy about your role at Inclusive Employers?

Being part of a passionate organisation that is “what it says on the tin”. I like the collaboration across teams and departments and ensuring our members receive the news and information to help build a network of inclusive organisations across the UK and beyond. This is one of the most supportive group of people I have ever worked with.

What has been your biggest achievement to date?

I am particularly proud of undertaking my SOLO officer training as a Special Constable for Warwickshire police.  (SOLO) Sexual Offences Liaison Officers are there for cases of rape and sexual offences and provide victim support and evidence preservation and gathering.

What is the best advice you have ever been given?

“People will remember how you made them feel, not by what you did!”

In a digital world, it is often easy to forget about the “human side” and focus on KPIs and other targets. I use this mantra to help me refocus!

Tell us something about you that we might not know

I was one of the first female “Boy Scouts” in my district and travelled to Zimbabwe to help rebuild game viewing platforms in Hwange National Park, dug foundations for a local medical station in a remote village, Songwa as well, as handmaking mud bricks to start the building works. I literally will get my hands dirty if anyone needs help!
