British Asian Professional awards 2023 finalist, an award-winning I&D practitioner, Baljit has an excellent working knowledge and understanding of DE&I theory and application, legislation and policy.

As Senior Inclusion & Diversity at Inclusive Employers, Baljit brings a wealth of experience and knowledge from both the private and public sector. She has delivered a number of I&D initiatives across the finance, retail and telecommunications sector to name a few.

What do you enjoy about your role at Inclusive Employers?

I enjoy the fact that at Inclusive Employers you get the opportunity to work with a number of different clients across all types of sectors and help them on their inclusion journey. Having worked across a number of different sectors I am able to draw from a wealth of experience.

Most of all, I enjoy setting our clients up for success – this is very rewarding!

What has been your biggest achievement to date?

I am very proud of developing and implementing the first ever Black, Asian and Ethnically diverse leadership programme to help improve diverse representation at the senior level.

What is the best advice you have ever been given?

To absolutely trust your instincts!

Early on in my career, I was lucky enough to go live abroad. I have lived in both The Netherlands and Belgium. It was a great opportunity to learn another language (French and Dutch) and stretch my comfort zone.
