Head of Member Services
Amy joined the Inclusive Employers team in May 2022 as a Senior Inclusion and Diversity Consultant, where she has been managing a wide portfolio of members and delivering training and consultancy services.
Amy has worked in inclusion since 2016. As Head of Involvement and Inclusion at a large homelessness charity, she led the design and implementation of their I&D Strategy.
Her experience also includes overseeing large teams as Head of Operations, where she managed significant change projects, working as a Head of Quality and Performance, and working therapeutically with a diverse range of people in prisons, hostels and addiction services.
I really enjoy working with such a wide variety of members to support them in their inclusion journey. I love seeing organisations and individuals grow and progress and it is satisfying feeling like I can have an impact.
I often feel proud to work in inclusion and it is difficult to identify one achievement or moment in time. I have previously felt pleased that I have been able to speak up when I have seen discriminatory language and behaviour and I have tried to supportively ‘call people in’ to raise their awareness rather than ‘call them out’ which can involve blame or shame.
“When everyone is included, everyone wins”. I like this as it highlights that inclusion benefits everyone.
My first job was working in a prison with people struggling with addiction. It was motivating, empowering, and challenging in equal measures
