The qualification includes two units

Leading Equality, Diversity & Inclusion looks at the drivers for EDI in the sport and physical activity sector and explores the UK legal framework. It critically examines inclusive leadership, organisational culture, and decision-making, reflecting on what works and what else is needed to improve inclusion. The unit supports learners in planning for and measuring the success of inclusion approaches.

Managing Stakeholder Relationships recognises that good relationships with stakeholders, whether funding bodies, partners, suppliers, or service users, are key. Improving equality often relies on influencing stakeholders to support new projects and change. This unit explores managing relationships through a stakeholder lens, providing approaches to understanding, planning, and leveraging stakeholders to support your inclusion agenda.

All the content is taught through a sport and physical activity lens with data, approaches, case studies and best practice applicable to the sector.

Each unit comprises three days of virtual training, six in total. Delegates supplement the training with self-directed study and webinar attendance.  Units are spaced apart to allow for this. It takes approximately 60 hours to complete the qualification over a year.
