Both Black Asian and Ethnic Minority and non-Black Asian and Ethnic Minority employees sometimes experience discomfort when talking about race, and this is a contributing factor to the lack of progress around race equality. An unwillingness to discuss race can stifle an organisation’s efforts to tackle Black Asian and Ethnic Minority under-representation.
