Richard is now the chair of Inclusive Employers. After founding the business, he worked across training, consultancy and brand activities before becoming chair in 2021. In this role, he oversees the strategic direction of the business and is an ear to call upon for second opinions.

Before setting up Inclusive Employers, Richard began his career working in theatre education, raising awareness of HIV. He then worked in training and communications and marketing roles, supporting and advising organisations across the public, private and third sectors.

What do you enjoy about your role at Inclusive Employers?

After many years being in the thick of it at Inclusive Employers, it is really joyful now to be able to think strategically about the business and be used as a sense check mechanism. I may be chair in name, but I hope I’m more of a bench in reality – room for others.

What has been your biggest achievement to date?

I think setting up Inclusive Employers has to be my biggest achievement!

What is the best advice you have ever been given?

 Great minds think differently.

Tell us something about you that we might not know.

I am learning to knit!
