About Janet

Janet is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and a highly experienced Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) leader with over 20 years of expertise in HR, Learning, and Talent roles. She has worked with some of the UK’s most recognised brands, including Whitbread PLC, Sainsbury’s PLC, and Virgin Active Ltd, and has operated at Executive and Board level as part of senior leadership teams.

Janet’s inclusion work has been widely recognised through individual awards and organisational accreditations. She is a sought-after speaker at Diversity, Equity and Inclusion conferences, sharing her insights on creating inclusive cultures that drive business success.

Experience

Janet’s professional experience includes:

She is particularly proud of creating the Thrive Programme, a pioneering initiative supporting young people with Special Educational Needs into employment. With only 4.8% of young people with learning disabilities in paid work in the UK, Janet is passionate about changing this statistic and creating life-changing opportunities.
