Inclusive Employers Standard (IES) Project Administrator

Doroteya joined the Inclusive Employers team as a Project Administrator in June 2024, bringing extensive experience in office administration, project management, and client support. Her skills make her a valuable asset to the Inclusive Employers Standard accreditation programme, where she works directly with organisations to help them become more inclusive workplaces.

Doroteya’s own experience of relocating to the UK sparked her passion for creating inclusive environments. She understands the challenges of non-inclusive workplaces and is dedicated to celebrating diversity and making sure everyone feels valued.

What do you enjoy about your role at Inclusive Employers?

What I love most about my role at Inclusive Employers is the perfect balance between responsibility and creativity. Right from the start, I was empowered to create my own processes, which has been fantastic for utilising my organisational skills and feeling a strong sense of ownership.

The variety in my job keeps things fresh and engaging — whether I’m managing project timelines, collaborating with clients, or supporting my colleagues, every day brings something new, which helps me continue learning and growing professionally.

And, of course, the team here is simply amazing – their passion for creating inclusive workplaces is truly inspiring, and their dedication is contagious!

What has been your biggest achievement to date?

During lockdown, my employer wanted to find a way to keep the team connected and support everyone’s well-being. I came up with the idea to start a weekly newsletter based on the 5 steps to well-being: connect, give, learn, be active, and be mindful.

It quickly became more than just a newsletter. It turned into a space where we could have open dialogues and share our experiences. We created special editions focused on important social issues like Pride Month and Black Lives Matter, and we also raised awareness about epilepsy, autism, and anxiety, with colleagues sharing their personal stories.

I’m incredibly proud of how this simple newsletter evolved into something much more meaningful. It helped us connect on a deeper level, fostered empathy, and created a safe space for open conversations.

What is the best advice you have ever been given?

It might sound cliché, but the best advice I’ve ever gotten is from Oscar Wilde: “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”
