    The new Labour government is set to bring a new era of business accountability in inclusion. Over the next five years, we anticipate increased scrutiny of business practices, data, and impacts related to Inclusion and Diversity. This shift in accountability presents opportunities for those who are ready. Organisations that embrace these changes will create environments where everyone can thrive, and they can gain a competitive edge.

    Equip Pillar of the Inclusive Employers Standard

    The Inclusive Employers Standard is built upon six pillars of inclusion, which serve as its framework. These pillars—Engage, Equip, Empower, Embed, Evaluate, and Evolve, determine the success and impact of inclusion efforts within the workplace. In 2024, we kicked off an event series in which we met and focused on one pillar at a time. In our second event, we examined the equip pillar. Here are our results from the event.

    Global Inclusion Week: Understanding cultural identity for workplace inclusion

    Culture shapes the identity, and the sense of belonging and attachment of communities and individuals. It provides them with a framework which informs their understanding and experiences of the world, and influences their values, beliefs and actions.
