How we made inclusion an everyday reality in 2021
In 2021, more and more organisations have strived to become more inclusive, provide safe spaces and support their employees in various ways.
We were commissioned by 548 organisations
In 2021, we were commissioned by 548 organisations to help with their inclusion journey. This included our membership offering, our expert consultancy and our in-depth training led by our inclusion professionals.
We delivered 4497 learning hours through our webinars
From our industry-leading webinar programme, we delivered 4497 learning hours. Each of our webinars focuses on a different subject, with the aim to broaden peoples knowledge and provide advice on how to take real action to improve diversity and inclusion in the workplace. To support their inclusion work, our members have access to five free places per webinar.
We delivered many more hours of training in-house, including training hundreds of inclusion allies and delivering bespoke solutions across a broad range of inclusion and diversity topics. Much of this training was virtual but we were able to deliver some Covid-safe in-person sessions towards the end of the year.
We welcomed 123 new members
Throughout the year, we welcomed 123 new members to Inclusive Employers, which takes our overall membership number to over 300. We were delighted to see more organisations placing a focus on inclusion in 2021.
During the year we supported our members with some ground-breaking initiatives such as reverse mentoring programmes, inclusive recruitment audits and D&I data analysis.
60 million people connected during National Inclusion Week 2021
Each year our National Inclusion Week campaign gains momentum, placing a spotlight on workplace inclusion.
During National Inclusion Week 2021, our #UnitedForInclusion campaign reached over 60 million people – our biggest year yet!
54 companies got involved with the Inclusive Employers Standard
54 companies made the steps towards achieving the Inclusive Employers Standard.
In September we announced record-breaking results and saw our second Gold Accreditation from our member, TeachFirst. The results highlighted the organisations’ dedication to making inclusion an everyday reality in their workplaces.
136 people started a CMI accredited qualification with us
In 2021, 136 people started an inclusion and diversity qualification with us.
For the last five years, we have offered Level 4 and Level 6 CMI accredited courses; in 2022 we are going to offer a wider variety of levels so we can support more people to consolidate and enhance their knowledge, skills and expertise.
Looking forward to 2022
After a successful 2021, Inclusive Employers are looking forward to making inclusion an everyday reality in more organisations in 2022.
