Disciplinary

Inclusive employers make clear what is expected of their staff and have policies and procedures in place designed to address problems with behaviour and performance. Inclusive Employers provides:

  • the ins and outs of establishing inclusive disciplinary procedures;
  • a downloadable inclusive disciplinary policy template.

Disciplinary | To establish an inclusive workplace culture, it is essential that all staff know what is expected of them in terms of standards of performance and behaviour. An inclusive disciplinary procedure should be introduced to make it easier for all concerned to deal with these problems. | The procedure is needed: - So that staff know what is expected of them and the likely consequences of continued failure to meet those standards. - To identify obstacles to staff achieving these standards and take appropriate action (e.g. provide training). - As an opportunity to agree suitable goals and timescales for improvement in conduct or performance. - To ensure that you adopt an inclusive and equitable approach to discipline. - To try to resolve matters internally within the business...
